So I have been growing some banana sundae from rocket seeds for 11wks. It's my first grow and I know nothing. My plants are great and doing so well. My main question is after 11wks they are just now starting to flower when they are rated for 8-9wks. Is this a problem?

With photoperiods, the flowering period refers to the time between the 1st preflowers to ripeness. Outdoors tend to take a little longer for me. Photoperiods generally flower when they get 12h of light per day or less. More than that and most will stay in veg and that time is up to you. If you are outdoors, it is a good idea to work out the timing of your season so you can plant at the right time to get the plant to the size you want. This site is very helpful, just look at the sun & moon tab and sunrise and sunset. It has a nice graph you can slide along and see the daylight hours in your area. https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/spain/barcelona

Generally, you should ask the seed bank you're getting your seeds from what they mean by "flowering time" - some will indicate time from germination and others will indicate the length of time the plant will actually be in flower. Given your information, though, I'd say you should prepare for her to be in flower for the next 8 to 9 weeks... Good luck!
