If youve been following, my main girl hermiated. This girl has been flowering for 5 weeks with an 8-9 week flower expectation. Any reason why the pistils turned so early? Started to notice around week 3-4

Hopefully just genetics. When a bud gets pollinated, the pistils turn more dark brown and it looks a bit different. If the buds stop bulking up and putting on weight for a while AND orange hairs means it probably got pollinated. It isn't the end of the world and you should still have some awesome bud when she finished. Hermie isn't contagious (unless it's stress induced and you stress out all of your plants) so this one probably won't hermie and be able to push through fine. happy growing! 👊

Some strains there pistils will ripen faster then trichomes. This is exactly why checking trichomes on when to harvest is the best method. Your hairs can be turned color and shrunk but trichomes still clear as day. I recommend a 40x jewelry loupe. 10 bucks Amazon. Also there are strains where there pistils will remain white no matter how long you let it grow.

Because it isn’t a computer program that will end exactly in 21 days 13 hours and 10 sec 😊 I don’t know if you understand me lol 😄. It’s mostly an Indica dominant, Indica’s flowering period is short, around 55 days to 60 days and sometimes for the longest one around 65 days to 70 days, it isn’t an exact science bro. But for sure, yours is nearly done, perhaps another 2 weeks more.
