Your plant can't read what is written on the packet and will be ready when you think she is ready. Leaving it longer than what is written on the packet/web site is fine. Besides, the info on the packet is only a guide, usually derived at by using optimum and premium grow systems by experienced experts and are often quite fanciful when it comes to flowering times. There are also a vast amount of variables when growing, things like nutrition, temps, grower experience, and the biggie, lighting. Commercial growers use the best and strongest lights, which are a long way from someone who is using a cheap blurple light with minimal output. No need to worry, follow your intuition as to harvest timing and remember that the info from the breeders is only a rough estimate.
Harvesting when the pistils/hairs are about 95-98% browned off will give you premium and well developed trichomes with peak THC levels. Waiting until all the pistils are brown will give you flowers with reduced THC, but with elevated CBD levels, which is fine if you prefer heavy sleepy effects, but if you prefer more of a mind trip, harvesting at 95-98% brown pistils will give you that sort of effect.
Hope this helps,...........
