I am 7 weeks from flipping to 12-12. Strain calls for 8-9 week flower. Buds look small, cropsalt telling to change the feed for last two weeks. I want to delay the switch by one week. Keep feeding regular and switch next week. Thoughts?

I mean, they are covered in white hairs. Thrichomes looks clear and cloudy. I would say atleast 2 or 3 weeks left maybe 4 depending on how much amber you want and depending on the strain itself. I would continue feeding for atleast another week before switching the feed and eventually flushing them. Just my 2cents Goodluck

Firstly, if your trichomes are mostly cloudy with a few ambers and a few clear, then your getting pretty close. I see some definite sativa like leaves on your plants. Sativa's usually take longer to mature. Sometimes a lot longer than a Indica. And when you have a hybrid strain, then you just don't know which traits they will take after. I wouldn't grow that strain anymore because it grows small buds without much yield. Harvesting is generally based on trichome status. and if you have a 60% cloudy, 30% amber, and 10% clear, then it's ready to harvest. Thats my opinion and i feel you will get the best quality of product in terms of effect when smoked. Taste and aroma are factors unrelated. Hey if you wanna try something different, next crop feed your plant vanilla extract with each watering. Your smoke will be the talk of the town cuz it'll smell like vanilla in the bag and people will freak out lol I digress, so use the trichomes as your guide. Since you are 7 weeks into flower, and i trust you aren't seeing a lot of new white pistil development, then you are done. If your plant is still shitting out white new pistils then it's still producing buds and you should wait a little longer. At the end of week 8 i would reassess your plant, your buds, and your trichomes. If things are slowing down and trichomes are looking on point then begin clean water flush. Flush for 2 weeks then chop em down.
