My tap water also comes out at about Ph 9 and was constantly adding PH down to keep it at around 6-7 when I finally decided to get one of those home water test and realised that I have super high Alkalinity. Basically the water has some minerals that keeps it at around 9 no matter what I do. so my solution was a RO system and then adding back 10-15% of tap water and that keep it stable at around 6.8. Get a home water test and test your water to figure out what your problem is. "Water alkalinity and pH are not the same. Water pH measures the amount of hydrogen (acid ions) in the water, whereas water alkalinity is a measure of the carbonate and bicarbonate levels in water. Think of carbonates and bicarbonates as dissolved limestone."

Yo mate, lemon or other , they have zero effect on earth or in any case not very stable as the solution remains at the desired ph for a few moments. with little money I recommend PH down of GHE (nitric acid). only a few drops per litre. In all cases your plants don't seem to have any problems, in fact they are very promising. I wouldn't suddenly drop the ph too low, I would bring it to 6.7/7 and check the result in several days. your soil is probably functioning well as well as maintaining a proper ph. A greeting, good grow !

You can use 100% organic orange juice or vinegar to lower your pH - but monitor it as I don't believe they have staying power and you may need to be adjusting your pH frequently... Good luck!
