The best thing I’ve found is a basil plant…I had the gnat problem and I read where basil plants are a good companion plant for reefer…since my first grow I’ve always grown a basil plant in with my reefer plants and have not had a problem since (3 years)

Ahh I don’t think those are fungus gnats. Either way— do these three things and problems solved in week 1– yellow sticky traps in the soil 2- diatomaceous earth powder mixed in the top layer of medium 3– ipm solutions 2x a week- Dr Zymes, green cleaner, lost coast, etx Should be all good and keep it up with all three! For prevention too

Biocontrols brotha! Check out predatory mites, californicus and persimillis are my good friends in growing organic. They come in sachets you can hang from plants, or lay on soil. Nothing better than a bite, Granny is right, you can get Bacillus Thuringiensis in those mosquito bits, they work as well. They need to stay wet, persimillis will crawl around, check out my diary, I took a photo of a predatory mite.. Check out this website, great resource for all things living soil, the owners name is Tad Hussey and has an amazing podcast with real science, not the "bro science" which is all over the web. https://www.kisorganics.com/collections/target-fungus-gnats I highly recommend predatory mites, they have truly been my only solution to the never ending fungus gnats. ❤️ The Fatty McCoy

Should have mentioned - Mosquito Bits will kill all stages of fungus gnat growth - eggs, larvae, adults... I used it on one of my grows and the fungus gnats were gone within a few hours. They like to live in moist soil, btw, so if you've got a problem with them, you might need to change up your watering habits and make sure the soil is completely dry before giving another drink... Cheers..

Fungus gnats are a snap to get rid of.... get yourself some Mosquito Bits, soak the right amount of granules as directed and then use the water for your plant... unless you've got a really bad infestation, they should be gone with that first application - really bad infestations might take three doses but you only give it once a week... Here's a link - or you can probably find them in any garden center (and yes, they also kill mosquitoes.. LOL!) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0001LE1VC? Good luck...

I mix diatomaceous earth in with the top couple inches of my soil and then dust a fine layer over the top of the soil. When it breaks down it will help your plant by adding silica, as well. Or, you could ease up on watering your medium. Gnats like nice, moist soil. You can also get a fan, or another fan, which will help move more air around the tops of the pots. they aren't a big fan of too much air movement.
