While watering this week I noticed a fair amount of roots surfacing in all of my plants (pic in week 6 of veg). Is this is a result of healthy rooting or signs of an issue? Leave exposed or cover em up? Inclined to leave as is for oxygen.

I'd cover them up you have fabric pots and if your soil is good you should already should have plenty of aeration. In the past when Iv'e grown in dirt , I like to put a layer of gravel or rocks on the bottoms and tops of the containers. Marbles whatever works but covering up the loose soil with a more solid heavy material is not a bad idea. Keep in mind soil and moisture can be breeding grounds for bacteria and other nasties so I tend to learn towards the idea of covering the medium up whether I'm growing hydro or in dirt. Just some food for thought or one growers opinion but I hope this helps. Your grow is looking great I wish you a bountiful harvest.

Hey friend, very healthy roots. If you intend to stay in veg for a lot longer you could always repot into a larger container. I rarely have a plant that doesn't have a decent bit of root showing near the top when i use my fabric pots, sometimes I've added more medium on top otherwise i just rub the top bit back over the roots if its shifted from watering. The plants look healthy and the roots do too...so two good positives. ✌️

Never saw so much roots on top of the soil. I wonder if covering them with additional soil will help but i would try it to prevent them from light. Or use some other material as sand to cover them, that will also prevent some pests like thrips.

@Mad_at_sun keep them covered my friend light on roots equals bad bacteria and potential problems also the soil protects the roots from damage and the extra heat so again keep them covered

It’s sign of a strong roots system. You can add some soil on the top if you wish but it isn’t really necessary, particularly if you don’t really have much space left to the edge you might spill water after when watering.
