Help! My plants been droopy from the start. Everyone saying I’m under watering but I did not think so. I just measured my ppm after watering and it’s almost 5000! Help please! I only dosed 1/4 strength Vodoo juice twice? Using bio365 soil.

@everyone only other thing I can think of is my humidifier might have a mineral backup and when the vapor it is putting out has salt in it. There is a white crust on the top of the humidifier. Maybe the mineral vapor got into my drain pan?

You have a ph issue. It is not watering so much. A 5000 ppm is saying your substrate ph is extremely acidic is my experienced guess. You would need to test the ph of run off to find out. This would be the first thing I would check. I check mine every time. It can tell you a lot of what is going on in substrate. Good luck.

https://www.bio365.com/about-our-soils ? if it is soilless and devoid of nutes, you need a 1.3-1.5 ec well-balanced mix every fertigation within 7-10 days of sprout. get a religious 10% runoff of waste water for soilless. (runoff is fine for outdoor use but not for potted plants, down the drain, otherwise) I thought it was "soil" and looks liek it could be still as there are several soils listed and i didnt go through each one to figure it out, lol. in either case a 10 ec is astronomical.. 2..5x lethal. either something causing the conductivity to rise not related / out of proportion to dissolved minerals, or your device is off.

The ppm on my regular water read at 150. Also tested some of the Seoul from the bag in water and it was only 200. How in the world could the run off be 5000!?!

try recalibrating the EC pen and re-measure... ppm is calculated differently depending on equipment, so it's better to use EC values when speaking with ppl that could be around the world, fyi. tds pens measure ms/cm^3 or some shit like that lol... then a factor is applied to give a "ppm" reading.. that factor will be different depending on equipment. they don't directly read ppms. 5000 would be well-beyond deadly. Could also be exaserbated by low water levels... less water = less volume, which is the denominator in a concentration equation. 5000ppm would definitely be causing some lockout and major symptoms would be present on the leves. These look fairly light green but probably darker in normal lighting - realtively healthy except for the droop. i can also tell by the drying pattern of the surface that you probably do not have good irrigation habits. odd things do occur, though. how much fertilizer you need for soil or some pre-amended bio365 or whatever tit is is like riding a bike. numerous variables impact exact need even if someone uses same stuff, but finding diaries that use the same products will give a good staring point. take notes and avoid symptoms 'next' time or try pushing harder till you have to dial back... it's like learning to ride a bike.

Dude, the advice they gave in your previous post was right - pick up the pot and feel the light weight. Water is HEAVY. Water the pot until you see run-off, then stop. Pick up the pot - that's what a well-watered plant feels like. Pick up the pot every day until it starts to feel light again, then water again.
