I would also say it's a personal preference when to top. Honestly you can pretty much do whatever you like to your plant as long it is in veg without doing damage, (as long as you don't go all out and kill it :b). Topping and general plant training is all about shaping your plant into a form or structure of your personal preference 😉 I get that some of these things might be a bit hard to grasp if you don't have much experience in growing plants or weed. I wouldn't recommend you to do topping before you have grown out a few plants naturally/LST. Neither would I recommend to top if you depent on the yield of the plant and isn't sure what you are doing, simply just to avoid reducing your yields 😊 Personally I don't top before I fell the plant has put out some solid roots and started growing properly, not that you can't do it earlier you just have a risk of hurting the plant to the point of no return 😉

Hi Hotdamnitman Every one likes different times and heights for topping. Some people do it straight after 2 nodes. Other when 5th nod appears. It is really up to you and your plant Growth and Health status. I personally done it on first node whit plant high off 6cm. And it worked great. Done at node 2/3/4 and it always showed great benefits. Best way to decide When to top should be when you feel your girl is Growing vibrantly, quick and healthy. Depends at what high you will do topping if you plan To 1-to save stretch space 2-to train for more bud sites and les popcorn buds. 3-to prepare for Scrog method 4-to achieving better light coverage So is up to you let the plant talk to you and decided to top her depending on your needs. Hope this helps And good luck with your grow.

For the first topping, a good rule of thumb is to cut the plant above the 5th node—this will give you enough branches on the bottom for the plant to bush out properly. You can also top the plant above the 3th node.

Dont worry everything is fine... normally you wait until she has grown 5th node and top her above the 3rd.... but she was looking so vigor, i would have done it too. as it is aphotoperiod , you dont have t worry at all. I topped my automatic around the same time. It always depends in the PLant, how vigor she grows. so keep your track, for mor information just hit the reply button

Hello bro Rules and precautions before the size: Wait a minimum of 3 layers of leaves before cutting. Do it with a clean and sharp chisel After cutting, there should always be enough leaves to allow the plant to breathe and photosynthesize. Keep in mind that you have to find a balance with your growing space: do you have room in height or width? For height go on 3-4 main apexes. For width go up to 8 see more If news grows light green after the cut is normal! Do not go to fatten it. May the force be with you 💪

@hotdamnitman its more about plant development than an actual height requirement. You want atleast 3 sets of new leaves (nodes) I like to do it on the 4th and it will bounce back quickly Good luck
