go with convenience and less cost. unless you have exceptionally hard water, it won't mkae a difference.
fwiw, i just switched from hard tap to softened water (convenience)... avoided it for 5 years and tested this run... absolutely no problems and no discernable difference from past results. don't use softened water if you can avoid, but in 3-4 months even 5, probably won't make a difference and less risky for methods that employ a consistent runoff when irrigating.

Light stress??? Just seeing the leaf edges standing up has me abit concerned. Light is running at 25% I did have it on 50% until a few days ago.Is this light stress ?? Plants are standing up, I know that can mean they are happy but I have noticed the edges on some leaves pointing upwards also. With the light running on half power it may have been too strong. Is this a early sign of a male?Plant is at day 23 in veg phase (18/6 cycle).
The "balls" appear on the 5th node.
I've read about immature pollen sac that can show up as early as 3 weeks into veg but I lack the knowledge to say it for sure.
So maybe that's obvious and I'm just dumb.Week 4
