fiestyy2answered grow question 5 years ago Chayton is giving you bad advice. I ask you this.... if weed is a phototrophic plant (meaning it is alway getting bigger and is alway reaching for the light) then if it stops growing is that good? Of course not. That is crazy. If it stops growing at any point than something is going wrong. Make sense right? I mean a freaking tree only stops growing when it is dead. So I would say his plant is dead. Sounds like to me that he is giving bloom nutrients to a plant that is dead. That make no sense. Most likely he has too much light, too many nutrients, and is over watering it. That is why a weed stops growing.
Leaves... easy they die.. no big deal. just like a tree. If they yellow pick them off. Even a great, flawless grow gets dead leaves. It usually means those leaves are not getting light. It is called self pruning. Light only penetrates a foot in an indoor grow. That is what a SCROG is really the best way to grow in doors. It produces a very large, spread out, but shallow canopy and you don't need a lot of plants if you veg long enough. Everything under the 1 foot point in an indoor grow is not getting the light it needs and is sucking energy from your buds and the rest of the plant that is doing the work. Strip anything that is not getting light. Usually this is done after the plant is SCROGED and usually in week 3 or 4 of flower. Last thing... to prove how crazy Chayton is..... I grow only using a one part bloom nutrient and cal/mag with some silica my whole grow (sounds very inexpensive doesn't it?). If his logic is correct than bloom should not be able to veg. or vice versa. Veg nutrients are higher in nitrogen. This grows leaves not bud. you could use a veg nutrient the whole grow but your bud would just not be as big as it could be. To say a plant stops growing at any time just does not make sense. Sounds like he is dictating to the plants what he wants.... that is not how this works. They want what they want and will do what they want to do. If you do anything else you are hindering them. Easy right?
