could favor 4 and 2 get screwed, or keep it in the middle and let 4 get screwed.
if stretch isn't so bad, it should fix itself outside once you send them out there.. the sun won't let it stretch, i promise. might not be optimal, but it'll thicken up in no time.
50w over 18 hours should be able to cover 2 sq ft area sufficiently. even if it's kinda shitty light. the size of teh frame would impact that. don't expect a huge distance from edge of light on either axis to be strong.
Raising the light may help. anything more than 18-20" is probably going to impact the plants underneath the light. so, raise it until you see those exhibit tiny stretch, then lower back a bit and that's about as far as you can go.. did it help? that's the only way to know is to do it.
if that can't do it, then i'd center it over 4 to minimize number that stretch to just 2.
