Is it normal for the first leaves to become yellow so early?

If you over water them then yes, that does tend to happen, leave em a day or two days longer before you water them in the future, once a week should be enough at this stage as they have small root systems, and its not that warm out yet either. Let the soil dry out more before you water next. Its that or your PH is WAY off in the soil or your water. Id think its the over watering before the PH thou. The roots are likely not getting enough air to grow faster. So ease up on the watering til they are bigger ok?

The cause for the leaves to yellow and the slow growth is overwatering. Let the top inch of the soil dry out completely in between waterings! The roots need oxygen! Do not water with more than 10% from the pot volume in water to prevent overwatering. And like I said, always let the top inch of the soil dry out completely before you water again. Enjoy your grow!
