Hi! I have modified a similar system. It is the nutriculture's version of the Wilma. I drilled extraholes for the roots to go in to the solution and I leave the pumps on 24/7. I change the solution once per grow cycle. The continuous flow oxygenates the solution, though it releases moisture too. Just keep the plants happy, and when flowering begins, I believe the systems makers also recommend to leave the pumps on for the whole time the lights are on. I may recall wrong. If you leave them on, you can spare the pumps by setting them to go on for 15 min few times during the dark period. Experiment, the interval will reveal itself. Also, you will probably get better answers here too ☺️

They seem fine like this, plus the dripper isn't too close to the stems, i'd let them like this for a week maybe. Then slowly increase the watering schedule. And after a few sets of leaves, they should be big enough to take away the timer. But from my experience in this system, and no matter your watering schedule, the roots WILL grow in the reservoir and clog the drain holes. So drilling extra holes is, to me, needed, and the plants will be able to grow their roots in the solution like in a hybrid dwv - air pump is required though.
