Benzelsanswered grow question 2 years ago Heres what I do. When you harvest, take all the top buds but leave the bottom half of the plant for another week to 10 days. The bottoms "turn" into tops when you chop the tops off and fatten up a bit more once they are all that is left on the plant. It wont work miracles but it will def help more than anything else you can do or try. Unless there is a new chemical hormone out I dont know about....
You can use my trick to fool the plant into treating the lower branches as tops but once you see the buds start to look a bit "leafy" or "cabbagey" as I call it, you know you have left them too long. 7-10 days is the sweet spot. Just water em and treat em as normal until the last 3 days before you chop the bottoms, stop watering. Then harvest same as the tops. 😀
