This plant is 3 months old, grown from seed, supposedly Northern Lights, has been outside in a fabric pot in Southern Ontario for 2 months where we are not due for 12 hours of darkness for another 8 weeks. Is this already in the flowering stage?

You’re about 4ish weeks in probably. Not all plants flower right at 12 darkness. Some only need 10-11. Also can trigger early if you had a lot of cloudy or rainy days. Either way yes you’re well into flower.

Outdoor plants start flowering at aroud 13 and a half hours of light and finish when there are 12 to 11 and a half hours of light left.

That line about you need a 12 hour night/day to trigger flower is completely wrong. 12 hours where I live is Sept 25th. I'll be close to harvest then. It works for indoor lights, but outdoors the plants detect much earlier when the days get shorter. Usually early August where I live and the days are still 14:30 long.

Yes it's flowering heavily. It is actually bulking, and is about 2 to 3 weeks from done.

It is flowering yes, It looks to be an autoflower as they will bloom without 12/12 light cycle. If you paid for these seeds maybe reach out to the vendor and ask them why they sent you autoflowers vs photoperiods or check what seeds they are on its package if it came with one. Keep giving it love and harvest when it is ready. PS drop me a DM where you got em from, been looking for a local seedbank and trying to see where everyone buys from. TBH, I prefer autos outdoors in Ontario as the wet season comes in fast in Oct and the plants normally don't get the time they need to ripen fully before WPM or Mold sets in, or well thats been my experience growing here for the last decade. Good Luck!

Thanks for the quick reply! Why would this have entered flowering so soon. It's actually 4 months from seed, not 3. Given how it looks now how many weeks would you estimate I am into flowering? I have some Gaia Green Power Bloom that I was going to apply at the beginning of the flowering stage, but now I'm not sure how I will schedule the applications.
