soilless procedures are some of the simplest. You still have to have a proper formula, but the fertigation process is easy and the 10% runoff virtually guarantees no buildup in soil. you can still overfeed, but it won't be the substrates fault -- easier to diagnose with 1 less moving part to consider. fertilize every irrigation. Get 10% runoff waste water, religiously. repeat when top layer starts to dry. Feel the weight, as the loss of mass from the pot is a better trigger. if you irrigate at same loss of mass from pot, it will require the same volume of water each time. Any hydro nute should work well -- 100% plant availabe and 100% soluble. Some brands instruct different ratios of nutes and overall concentration. Research based products come out to about 7-8-15 weighted average. Ca/Mg and S are equally important nutrients, of course. overall concentration between 1.3 and 1.5 is an excellent starting point. Seedlings may be best with a bit less, but even this won't damage them. Clones need virtually no nutrients until they have roots. don't give 1.3-1.5EC to clones. maybe 0.2-0.3EC at most. through observing plant and tweaking formula over time you should find a happy zone that doesn't result in deficiencies or toxicities.. this isn't magic. it is about meeting metabolic rate of the plant. "More" is not necessarily better. Each environment is slightly different (light intensity, RH, temps etc all impact rate of growth, therefore impact plant metabolism. These values are good starting points but you will need to adjust. It may takes several weeks of feeding before you realize a toxicity or deficiency is occuring. never think it happens overnight. (unless you overdosed the fuck out of it, but certainly not at a normal concentration of use). Just going with basic suggestion here should be a mosly clean run. don't worry about marijuana branded fertilizer... tbh, they tend to be hack manufacturers. often they aren't even ph-buffered. if you have any ph swings, it is a shitty fertilizer product 9 of 10 times.
