Autoflowers do not follow light times. Less light just gives you smaller and airy buds in end. Run 18 or 20 hours light on them to finish. Light times effects how much they grow, and has no Correlation to making them flower.

Autoflowers are genetically coded to flower after a set number of days in vegetation. Their entire life is set in stone. Unlike a photoperiod that can veg practically forever and who's life is only set in stone after flowering has started. Initially you would want to delay flowering as to get a larger vegetative growth and thus a potentially larger yield. Once vegetation ends the plant ceases to grow more branches and bud sites. This is why many growers debate on whether or not to train, crop or top their auto's (to get a larger yield) but since an auto has such a short veg time it cant take too much stress from training to recover.

hello, i did that on my current automatic grow. she was my only automatic plant, and i put her to the other photoperiods that were in flowering mode. automatics perfor the best under 18 hours of light, planted into the final pot, filled with fluffy mj growingsoil. anything else is not worth the time and money in my opinion. and of course she wil survive, she will go in flower after the same weeks, no matter if you give her 12/ or 18 hours but the size she reaches under 18 is another mine stayed small and is now around 30 cm high ( she was growing under 12/12

It's a about your DLI. Daily light intake. You can get a higher powered light, that will be on for 12/12 and it will be the same DLI as a lower powered light that is on for 18/6. You can find a DLI chart, and download the LUX app. It uses your phones light sensory to give you a lumens count. Convert that lumens to PPFD and find out your DLI on the chart. This will tell you exactly how much power you can give them on the light itself and for how long. But as others have said, nope. light schedule won't change the timing the plant starts flower. It's all genetic, when she feels she's ready, she will start. Granted some plants won't start flower, this is due to bad genetics. If your plant won't start flower, then flipping to 12 12, or even shutting lights off for an entire day will help remind them, hey its time to start producing flowers. Most all reputable breeders in autoflowers have good genetics. It won't matter the lighting schedule they recieved, what it will effect is the yield the plant makes. This is why some people chose to run 24/0. They never shut the light off, and believe it gives them the biggest yield. Some prefer 18/6 as it saves on electricity but still gives a great yield, while giving the plant plenty of rest and down time to let her recover. I myself find 20/4 to be my sweet spot. At this lighting schedule they get enough rest to recover and rest. But its just enough. Then back to work. Although any light schedule will work with autos, you can expect a larger yield with the more light you can give them. To add, I fight high humidity when it's light off. So 4 hrs lights off is the most I can give them before it gets to far out of range.. and starts becoming damaging. So this is all I can give them as a break. Goodluck growmie

Light length won’t change the flowering timeline for an auto, it’s going to take as long as it takes.. but less light will give smaller yield so I don’t think this is a good strategy for autos.

I had autos veging for 8-9 weeks. Day or night duration has no power over auto plant. Only when plant feels himself matured or ready for sex :))) only then plant will start to flower. Huge stress, overfeeding can trick them into survival mode and beeing super small they can try to go grown up plants path, then people harvest 5-10g from such early flowering plant.....
