My light ballest has broken tonight, my lights will have been off for 24hours by the time I can replace, the plants are about 2 weeks from harvest, would it damage the plants to start the light cycle (18 on 6 off) tomorrow after having the light off for 24 hours?

2 weeks away from harvest and only 1 24 hour break in the light schedule is unlikely to cause any significant or adverse effect. That said, there are 2 potential outcomes: The shitty one - the plant runs a late stage hermie and you end up with lower potency, but likely still smokable and usable bud. The good one - nothing happens at all and she continues to bulk out until you're ready to chop. Either way, your solution is the same - get light back on em to the same schedule as they were previously. I believe they're autos so 18/6, 20/4 - whatever you were on before. Think you'll be alright regardless. Good luck to the finsh!

Thank you everyone! Yes they are autos on a 18/6 light schedule. I'm on route to the shop as we speak to get the faulty ballest exchanged so the light will be back on 4pm today.

Nanashi is correct. Don't go 18/6 unless they're autos. Photos you would be signaling re-veg then throw them back into flower. Can't imagine that's good, although realistically, it probably won't make a huge difference. Either way, better not chance it, this is the most productive time of flower.

If they are autos i don't think you will see any issues other than the loss in production for the 24HR If they are not auto and 2 weeks from harvest then 18 on would put them back in veg If your just worried about the light schedule itself you could just put a simple lamp in the room and the light will tell them it is day time even tho they do not get enough energy to grow
