My auto is 30 days old and small showing signs of preflower. My question is will these get any bigger? Also what are some reasons that are common this may happen?

I responded to your PM but it never sent? Yeah based off these photos it has started flower/preflower. This is when the plant will stretch, how much... who knows?! Each and every strain is different my friend, even the same strain can have different phenos that vary. I have 4 Mango smiles running currently, 2x are 16-17inches and 2x are less then 10inches. So it can vary growmie. Hopefully these will stretch decently for you. If not you will have a more squat plant. This is a unfortunate part of autos, some are just small.. and if their not you can make mistakes which will make them small. The first couple things I would say that possibly would of caused this is genetics.. if not genetics, then the soil was to hot stunting them. To strong of a light or it being to close to the plant. Finally LST, it will slow the vertical growth with these plants. I highly recommend you never do lst until the plant has 5 or 6 nodes, at that point it also needs to be 6 to 8 inches tall. If the plant isn't 6 to 8 inches tall, but has 4 or 5 nodes already then it's a tale tale sign the plant is either a short plant or you stunted it with the reasons I listed above. So don't do lst until it's stretched up some. If that makes sense. . If you recognize it's a squated plant let it grow vertical and then slightly pull out branches to let light in, because if you tie down a already squatted plant, then it's going to be a tiny baby. Alright man I hope this helps, I would make sure your not giving it to much light, or feed. If those two things are in check, then it's unfortunately going to be a small lady and you will just have to hope you learned how to possibly prevent it next time. Even if you only get a ounce of bud, its still a Oz of bud and look at all the first hand information you've gained! That's the important part.... information is the name of the game!

> Also what are some reasons that are common this may happen? Usually, growers forget that Ruderalis grow under a midnight sun and/or are being duped by marketing and force the plants straight into flowering. ¯\_(⊙︿⊙)_/¯

Your plant is really small, so you should wait a little longer before bringing it into flower. 😅

Autoflowers generally are small when they start to flower then explode in size. Unless you are growing in soil then it will not get really big. If you want big autoflowers, then you need to grow them in coco or dwc. They need the Hydro application part if those grows to get bigger. Autos tank in soil

Yes it’s definitely flowering now.. This is the risk you run with autos. I’m not gonna deep dive into the genetics of it but it’s the reality of it. To isolate the autoflowering trait, you’re essentially forcing other traits to be inconsistent. It will likely grow a bit more but you’re probably not getting but an oz at most from this unfortunately.. Highly recommend trying out photos. If you have a slow starter you can wait a week and grow it more before flipping. Autos throw any control you have out the window.

They are looking like they are doing the preflower stretch. Common causes of stunted autos are over/under water, improper feedings, improper ph. I see that you are training her, what have you done training wise, ie top, defoliate...
