When should I expect flowers to assert their lovely smells?

There is still almost no smell from the flowers. Is that normal at this point? Today is 22 days into flower and the strain guide says flowering time is 9-12 weeks (63-84 days.)

Don't be afraid to rub your fingers in and around buds n see if there is any smell. Also sometimes you scratch the stem slightly and you will get a hint of the profile, kinda like a scratch n sniff.

Algunas variedades son mas olorosas que otras, normalmente a partir de la 5/6 semana ya debería sentirse un olor intenso. Mi cultivo va por el dia 48 y se siente bastante el olor

Your daytime temp is 70f? Same as night temp? A cannabis plant does not just one day smell. It like most things is complex, we try simplify best we can, there is no right or wrong ways I guess but some fundamentals be understood to help promote lovely smells. Photosynthesis itself works in unison with heat, the warmer the chlorophyll in leaves the more excited the atoms becomes, more vibrations = more photon capture. This holds true to around a peak at 87 where the leaf surface temp LST is optimal. Terpenes such as myrecene can start to degrade above 67. When we talk about "decay" from radiation. We start to understand half life's of atoms. Light, heat, sound, electricity are all forms radiation, all of which accelerate "cycles". Time is a man made concept used to measure how fast something decays a half life.. Soon as your plant starts to pop trichomes you must make a decision to focus of preservation of those trichomes or rapid photosynthetic growth. Key lies in trying to find a balance. Our job is not to grow cannabis but to replicate natures natural conditions. As long nights come they come with colder winds that preserve. More blue light triggers higher productions of the "smelly stuff" at the right time in flower. Can also trick the plant into closing it's stomata during ripenenin. Why is this important? If no fertilization of the female has occured so late into flower the plant will go into overdrive releasing "smell" in hopes the wind will carry this scent to possible pollinators. This is done by releasing the profile through the stomata. By closing the stomata the plant has no choice but to store up all the smellies as there is no longer anyway to release. Good luck. Blue light is key.

some stink more than others and doesn't necessarily 1:1 correlate to what you'll smell after drying and curing. Probably a strong correlation though. less agitated / happier plants tend to smell less - barring genetics that say otherwise. if you jostle a plant that doesn't smell much, it typically smells more after the agitation. So, whether you can smell it or not while growing is not the entire story even if it correlates a bit. Not only that, the smell may evolve over time... could be a different ratio of terps by the end compared to midflower. Worry about he health.. .you can't control the other stuff... you'll find out soon enough. No smell is not necessarily bad. If the plant is healthy and vigorous, even less reason to worry. Your plants look great, but look like concentration is starting to build up in leaves (clawing). Keep an eye on that. if it gets worse, dial back concentration but leaves look great so ratio of nutes is probably fine. Just to show how whacky it is... i've read about plants that stink a lot in vege but until recently had not experienced it.. to this extreme. I have some ethos Grandpa's Stash going and it's crazy how sweet/fruity they smelled after just 3-4 weeks from sprouting. touching / training makes my hands reak. Even before i touch them or train, my tent smells of sweet/fruit. That's not common. And, it may or may not translate to the end result, but i hope it does, lol. Just don't think that because you don't smell much now it'll be a disappointment later... that is not always the case. more or less probability, i have no idea, either... but it can still turn out to be killer terps by the end.

Short answer is week 2-3 in flower smells should start to emerge and pierce your nose holes lol. But.... It's all strain dependent really. Some have more terps than others. Some may even grow and harvest with little to no smell at all and then after the dry and cure the smell finally shows itself. Opposite to that I've had them smell while growing and drying.. yben after the cure the smell disappeared. It's a craps shoot and genetics plays the most pivotal role, aside from that it's the temp and humidity "conditions" that you keep the product in from seed to jar. Goodluck on your grow, may it be hard and bountiful like me on viagra 😃

Normally after around 2 weeks into their flowering cycle, they have a noticeable aroma that will intensify as buds start to grow, but every strain is different and the buds do look like they are about to start taking off so here in a week or so the smell should be more than noticeable.
