Northern lights Auto still not flowering?

JordanThe420BarB

Is this normal for NL Auto from growers choice to not start flowering until late? I'm on week 8 with NO flower, doesn't even seem to be in pre-flower yet. I'm growing concerned and impatient LoL

Hi, I know you've had a lot of answers already but here's my 2 pence. What you've got is annoying but not unheard of. Put simply the "autoflower gene" hasn't taken in this particular plant. Rather than messing with the light routine of the others in the tent try taking the NL out and keeping her in the dark for a day or two to see if it'll trigger her. It can't hurt. Your other option is to just let her stay in veg until the others in there are done then switch to 12/12. If you switch now you're likely to effect your harvest on the others. Hope that helps. Gl.

Change your light settings to 12/12, I know it’s an auto but sometimes they need some help to turning into flower, I have this problem twice with same strains each time: royal AK by RQS

Autoflower cannabis plants have no set time. Every Pheno is going to be different and with the NL...they are monsters brother. They get big so they need a lot of attention and training. Just be patient, you got yourself a winner 😉

If you right click on an image and choose open image in the new tab, you can zoom.

My longest veged auto was 9 week, on 8th she showed sex only. No change was needed. 24 hours darkness prison would be smart too. Should play her up if its not missbread and has more photo genes than ruderalis. In worst case 12/12 ..

Looks like start of flower.. pic is really far away and gd doesn't zoom. Seem to have tufts of pistils at terminal nodes? this doesn't happen in "vegetative phase" .. you've been in flower for at least 10-14 days.

This isn’t normal. Switch your lights to 12/12 cycle before it grows to big and gets oversized by the end of its stretch

Stress them. Or you could set the light in 24/0 for a few days and then come back to 18/6. It should induce flowering. (I known I have an unpopular position about "autoflowers", but they're Ruderalis crosses for me, and Ruderalis usually veg under midnight sun and turn into flowering when the night came back).

Autos can be weird beasts, you cold try giving it a bit more down time and altering the light schedule to see if it will give it the push it needs. eg 12/12 I have seen this happen on another persons grow but they where doing a fastbuds Mexican Airlines plant. not a Northern Lights plant, but both are autos though. For them they waited for a bit and went from 24/0 down to 16/8 and it fix a lot of their issues then the plant started to bloom. Are there are no pistils at all on any of the nodes anywhere on the plant? can you confirm if the packaging says its auto or photoperiod? I highly doubt it was a mix up but always good to check, and if they where sent in little zip lock bags for stealth shipping its not impossible to be the wrong seeds, I was once sent photoperiod vs an auto but did not know the different till a year later when I reordered the seeds and noticed a different coloured package lol. I also did not know much about growing and had them on a 12/12 light schedule from seed. I also looked into the suggested below about averaging out other seeds flip to flower from other diaries and its about 5th or 6th week when they documented it flipped. growdiaries.com/diaries/91650-growers-choice-seeds-northern-lights-autoflowering-grow-journal-by-kentuckyog60 this person had a bit of a late flip but not 9 weeks and the one week of veg on week 8 I would have classified as flower. Good Luck!

Maybe u got a regular seed... Seems weird, because autoflower are genetic made to to start produce flower around 30 day of life. Try to switch light hours to make sure. Set 12/12 and check

Haha yeah I understand the struggle from waiting till weed is ready for consumption! My best advice would to to check out the page from this strain on this website. Then you can compare it with the other growers that grow the same strain and with their results.
