Hi all , first of all thank you for looking ,
So my question is ,
What oh do you guys prefer ?
As it's old school that the pH should be 5.5 but reading alot online of people going too 6.0 too 6.5 ,
What is the best pH ?
Soil - 6.5 (6.2-6.8)
Coco / DWC - 5.9 (5.7-6.1)
Due to variances in measurements and components if you shoot for a mid-range PH in chosen grow media it will vary around that point and be well within range.
Dats the theory at any rate.
It really is that simple
there's a huge amount of people worry about P.H.
it's not that bigga deal the range on PH is huge readings give between 4 and 9 before damage occurs
when you read about some peoples run offs it will really make you wonder
most peoples problems are elsewhere and not in P.H.
A good way to get messed up is multiple nutrients WTF its just not needed
i use a single part self PH ing nute
follow the instructions on the bottle comes out around 7.0
don't PH any further and never have a problem.
Hi @LockDownGrow To grow in soil the best is 6.0, if in coconut it is 5.8. but in the soil if it is between 6.0-6.5 there are no major problems the important thing is that there are no large variations in PH during the life of the plant. good luck mate 👍
Hello.. Because ur in soil or coco and not an active hydroponics system u ideally want 6.0-6-5..u can go lower in hydro for sum reason.. I think its to do wit the assimilation of nutrients and lack of medium so harder to get build ups etc.. 👍
