My question is related to harvest techniques. I have seen where several diaries talk about water restrictions the last 1-2 days prior to harvest and also about placing the plant(s) in the dark for 4-7 days prior to harvest. I would like to hear from the master growers on it. TY

Extended darkness is bs ghetto science.
Witholding water for the last 24-48 hours makes drying easier.
Neither "technique" will miraculously cause extra THC to magically appear.
The less stress and the more normal the plants are treated before harvest, the better.The last thing you want to do after weeks/months of careful, dedicated growing, is to stress the plant in any way right before you harvest them.
Over the last 40 years I have tried just about every urban myth out there and 99% are garbage.
Harvesting healthy, unstressed plants is the only thing I believe in these days.

Leaving them in the dark doesn't do anything from my experience. I water up until the point of harvest, obviously not the day I chop her as that's pointless.

How to reduce yield? (without reducing quality)Can I prune down to 3 or 4 colas? When? Or better to let it grow normally and compost the extra? I've found it too easy to grow way more than I can use. How many inches from top of canopy should I be?I’m currently sat 16 inches away, it’s a spider farmer g3000 300w led light. I’ve seen some diaries where you lot are around 10 inches away but I’m unsure whether that is correct or just a quick answer. Could people please tell me what would be best?
