Hi guys, Is anyone using Cal Mag for a bloom booster only? I think I should have started using it 2 weeks ago to prevent the brown tips, rest of leaf is perfect.

4th-5th week of flowering, right at the peak of this stage. But not after, need for nitrogen ceases. You should use Cal-Mag during the vegetative and early bloom stages and during the halfway point of the flowering stage, you might want to reduce the application to 3 ml/gallon, to avoid adding a toxic level of nitrogen as nitrogen is the most sensitive to toxicity of all the minerals. Calcium, magnesium, the grease on the wheels that makes everything work.

Aren't you the self proclaimed organic guru thats absolutely went balistic in the DM on me because i told you to stop misting your plants? I believe you called me a chemical fertilizer loser and said that i was a dummy that had no clue how to grow anything? Then you deleted all 50 of your derogatory remarks and disappeared into the night. Shocking to me that someone that sold themself off as someone who knows how to grow plants superior to everyone else, regularly mists his plants, and asks questions about using calmag as a BLOOM BOOSTER? ......takes all kinds to make a world evidently

Cal mag is full of only nitrogen. It is not a bloom booster. Flowering npk ratio is 1-2-3. If there is leaf discoloration then it is likely potassium related. Nitrogen can hinder bud development in flowering if it is too strong.

CaMg is normally a NPK like 10-0-0 Good N and no P or K, bloom boosters on the other hand tend to have NPK's of something like 0-10-10 high P and K no N So it is exactly opposte of what is known as a bloom booster. but anything you add in flower could be called a booster i guess. CaMg is also high in EC so when your feeding it it will use up a lot of your feeding allowance in terms of total EC of the solution. Most people use it all grow not just in flower, and its needed in any soilless medium that is lacking in Ca or Mg Look up calcium deficiency and magnesium deficiency in a leaf chat. I bet your plants don't match the symptoms. Like other said dry dark tips is normally a sign of overfeeding but with no pics hard to tell. and if GD does not want to link Diaries to the question I don't care to go routeing aorund for the links. Good Luck!

Calmag is an overall nutrition that help it nutrient elements reach their peak.. There is actually no benefit to be gained by these elements. They're just enhancers to help facilitie changes in your plant.

The brown tips are nutrient excess. The brown spots on the other hand are Calcium def. If you can trust your PH measurements, use the CalMag. There is nothing unusual about using it in flower to correct your feeding for certain plants.
