What would you recommend: low stress training (such as bending, ScrOG) or high stress training (such as topping, fimming) for my strain? I read different things about it.

If it is your first grow I would recommend to keep it as simply as possible and let her just grow naturally. Will also give great results.

I just realised you didn't specify if you're growing photo or autos. You're probably hearing conflicting info because in general you don't top autos, just LST.

Can't really give you advice on a training method this early in the game. You have to see how the plant is growing and progressing before making that call. If you have a really fast growing plant then I would suggest topping it early. If it grows at an average auto rate then lst will be best for it. Just give them a good environment to grow on and they will tell you what they want. Good luck!

Hi. LST is recommendable for all strains. Automatics respond very well to them. You can go with Topping, you just have to look how vigor your plant grows. If she shows 4 nides top her above the third. If you go on topping depends in how vigro she grows. 2New Genetics" of Automatics, are nearly to treat like Photoperiods. Three are grower who do all to them . Mainining. Hst and Defoilate. I would go with topping and LST... that is a save way to improve your harvest.

If you want to maximise your canopy to maximum effect, a combination of both is best. In a way, scrogging without topping would be really difficult as a topped plant will evenly bush outwards. You have to do a lot of ridiculous amounts of plant training to promote other branches into becoming leading stems. My previous grow, I learnt how crucial it is for proper canopy management. On the grow I am on now I've topped on three occasions. My plants have bushed out enough for me to scrog them. Use a small square scrog or tie down the branches so they're spread apart evenly. If you're interested in how it turns out, I just flipped to flower and will start seeing a massive stretch in a week or two. It's my first attempt at really being daily hands on with the plants.

I do both. I scrog when its 1 month into flowering to help support the weight of the plants as they will break easily with all that beautiful heavy flower on them. when they're young I only did LST when one plant was growing faster then the other and I would bend them just so the top of the canopy is even. Happy growing!

@Greenami I reccomend a mix of topping ( once at the 5th set of leaves) and LST by tying the branches down to allow maximum light penetration
