Hi, I'm a first time grower. I have my plant under 450w cfl...I was told I could use the same light for the rest of the plants cycle. Trying to figure if that true, others tell me I different.🤔

you don't have to change your light to HPS or LED or any other thing for flowering, you can just keep on with that CFL But the most important part is ; is this a dual spectrum CFL? I mean, does it contain any red in it? you can see on the bulb pack if it is only blue or dual spectrum. We need blue light in vegetation and red for flowering. If you keep the blue on and NO RED while flowering, you'll lose yield. if dual spectrum,no need to change, you can always add some more bulbs next to it.

Hi Maria. The CFL is a great light for to start, Seedlings love it. be4cause its not to heavy. And yes you can go throughout the whole cycle with the CFL....Just monitoring your PLants, If they start to grow with BIIIG ibternodial space go closer with the light. If flowers wont develop nicely you may add more light, but theoretically it should be enough for a PLant, But you get much bettr development in changing to HID in Flower or inventing in a led-Quantumboard. More infos per PM if you want
