Does anyone have any positive or native experience with the PAR apps: Phontone & PPFD, are beneficial or completely inaccurate, is one better than the other? Just trying to dial in lamp heights.

Photone is decent. Shane from MIGRO claims it’s within 10% of readings from an apogee sq-500 (which is top tier instrument) I just use it with some relative knowledge from manufacturer and other sources.. Use it moreso to look for uniformity. Don’t hang your hat on the numbers from it tho. Should be able to find the video if you check out “MIGRO Photone app” or something similar on YT

Well, I haven’t compared different apps. Photone works well for me. Sometimes the readings are drifting though. Opening the right spectrum can cost some money as well. Anyways without this app I would burn my plants, so it's helpful.
