Lordy, this is me right now, too! First grow! Maybe you could have left a few more leaves, but maybe this is just perfect. I am also teetering on this line right now lol. I hope it turns out perfect. I’ll be watching.! 😉

There are several studies that show this with cannabis and also other plants, its done with tomato’s and others in commercial farming, just under different name than lollipopping. Had to use the translator not sure if its the right term in German its called „ausgeizen“ for tomato’s google translated it with „maxing out“. When you ask google if lollipopping increases yield thousands of websites and studies pop up claiming what i said. Here is one for medical cannabis: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8747189/ Sure there is no right way to go. Indoor vs outdoor, LED vs HPS, small clones vs tall plants from seeds and maybe even how different phenos from the same genotype react on this technique. 0011000… you are right it does reduce stored nutrients but an indoor plant regularly fed don’t need no storage it actually draws energy from the plant to maintain this storage, fan leaves are not as efficient with PS than the smaller ones btw. Yes it does reduce co2 intake but it regrows so quick that it seems to have no negativ impact. As a homegrower i would say plugging some leaves wich are only storage and produce not as much is cheaper than getting a bigger dehumi, come on @001000100… were both so thrifty that we build our own led fixtures :D

There is no real evidence out there that lollipopping increases yields. Simply not true. this is called confirmation bias. The basics of why are covered in the guides and such on cocoforcannabis.com. Even an anecdote about how many people make this claim, are challenged to provide proof, then never heard of again. even so, you can lollipop and not prune off the leaves. if you can't keep up with the humidity, that means you need a larger dehumidifier or you need to grow smaller area of plants to fit your currentn dehums capabilities. Reducing stored nutes, reducing CO2 intake and reducing photosynthesis is not a recipe for an improved result. It is a net negative beyond any reason to measure it, lol.

Look into my diarie and don’t listen to the others, doing this for +10 years and studied horticultural science. You are doing a good job.0101011101… might be partly right, it delays slightly but they will bounce back in just a couple of days letting more light to the nugs resulting in better quality and higher yield. Also lowers humidity/makes it easier to control wich lowers risk of mold. And the biggest advantage you don’t need to trim tiny nugs from below. LED lights can’t penetrate deep into the canopy so the budsites on the bottom are a waste of energy. To reduce stress after a major intervention i recommend lowering vpd go with 0.9-1.0 next couple of hours and give some B52 or other vitamin containing supplements to reduce stress and hard lollipoped defoliated plants like to have some extra nutrients in general . Anybody who doesn’t lollypop like that never had a big plant in his/her live or enjoys trimming tiny loose low quality buds.

Probably a tad too aggressive, but within a week it'll fill in. A chance it delays flower a bit. Remember they don't just collect light. They are also the lungs. They build molecules. They are storage facilities. Leaves perform a lot of functions even if heavily shielded from light. Have a good reason to remove them. you can remove lower bud sites/branches that you think will be larf and not prune off the leaves. Have good reasons to take off leaves - E.G. so congested that they overlap and often have condensation is a good spot to thin out. Risk of disease is a good reason. read "to defoliate or not..." on cocoforcannabis.com All of their guides and dr photon articles are a worthwhile read.
