Im a little concerned. The plant was dried for 8 days to the point the stems were just about to snap/ crack. Now it's all been harvested into jars the smell isnt filling me with confidence. Should I expect the smell to mature with the next few weeks?

As long as you dont smell ammonia all is well. Smell will improve with curing.

Minimum 30 day cure, then see where you stand. I find cured buds lose some of that strong smell when in the peak of flower. And if it tastes like it smells, then even better bonus when done.

Like the above growers said it will improve with time as the cure goes on I've been told to dry trim also to help avoid any hay type smell Wet trimming apparently gives a hay smell

You need your cat to take a whiz in them. That's how you get the strongest smell. I'm impressed with your grow tho. I am on my 6th & still struggling to get one through.

After a couple weeks it will start to get a better smell. Keep it closed in a glass jar with no smell . open the jar 10 minutes every 3 days and close again, weed is like wine, the longer it is cured the better it will taste and smell as long as it is well stored. Wishing u good vibes🙏🌱🍀

Yes the aroma will improve a lot as long as you cure it to remove chlorophyll. The chlorophyll is responsible for the hay like smell that some buds have when they are freshly harvested. Just keep it sealed in a jar and burp it a few times a day. After a couple weeks it will start to get a better aroma.
