Fine-tuning my timing, my 2nd harvest.
Looking for mostly Sativa effects but slight chill is ok to balance the acid-like high — 10-15% amber tx? 90% of pistils are orange/brown now. Feeding with 60-70% flowering mix, but only 50% N. Lens is Apexel 200X + iPhone, no affiliation

My trichome maturity is based on whether it's a indica, sativa or hybrid.
When the bulbous heads of the trichomes are fully developed but still translucent, plants will produce a "high" and stimulanting effect, less sedative. It is the perfect moment to harvest strong Indica strains.
When these bulbous heads turn milky is probably the best moment to harvest most available hybrids.
When 70% of these trichome heads are milky and 30% amber, it is the perfect time to harvest mostly Sativa hybrids and long flowering strains (like Haze).

Almost ready. Keep checking the trichomes, they can mature quite quickly so I'd check them every 2 days. Aim for most to be cloudy, it could take 5 days, 7 days, it could take 14 days. Depends on how quick the plant wants to do its job.

A few are definetly ambered already, most are milky. I would harvest straight away, if you just watered, i would wait a day or two, really speeds up the drying. Enjoy the harvest and smoke, happy xmas

Also make sure you are o ky checking tricombs growing directly from buds and not from sugar leaves they turn way

Hey there 1 rule of thumb for the best effects from flower aim for most of them being milky white and just a few amber and a few clear.
Amber trics the oil in the tricombs have volitized off already.
Clear tricombs are imiture and don't have very much

Bud Rot? Mold? Or safeOne of the branches split during a storm the other day and didn't recover after a few days so I chopped. Trichomes evaluationHello, in the last page of my diary (20), I uploaded some photos of Trichomes that I took with microscope. I believe that they are not ready for my usage (insomnia is my condition) and that I should wait until they are some milky and some amber. Can someone confirm my intuition?
