My hydro seems to not be doing well. What could be wrong? pH was at 5.3 on Friday but adjusted it to 5.9. No recovery though.

If you have a constant flow of water running over top, you’re drowning the plant. Get rid of the ring thing. Let the roots grow toward your reservoir on the bottom. Water once a day from the top until the roots are in the reservoir and then stop. What kind of hydro system are you trying to set up, a simple DWC will work wonders. Keep your PH in check on a daily basis between 5.8 and 6.2. If this isn’t right, you’ll guess at what is wrong. A plant this young light DLI needs to be at 15. Once the rootball and some leaves have developed start increasing it in the veg cycle until you get to a DLI of 35. In the flower cycle go up to 40-44. The nutrients ppm needs to be around 500-600 with an EC of around 0.8. Start increasing it as the plant grows. Some are more sensitive than others and you have to observe as to how high you can go with this number. I’ve gone as high as 1400 ppm and an EC of 2.8. Are you using tap or RO water, it makes a difference. Correcting your PH will not affect your ppm or EC. You’ll have drifts. But don’t try to chase that number, correcting once or twice a day is fine. Regularly change your reservoir, I do it weekly, to avoid byproduct (salts) build up in your water. Start a diary to help others understand what your doing and be in a better place to help you out.

5.3 is to low and if any dmage was done, its not going to repair it can only out grow it. So give it some time and keep it in range.

Give her time.. Friday was yesterday. Adjusting the pH raises the ppm/ec... Over adjusting = a mess. Looks overly wet and wilted due to ill watering practice there underfed or over fed with ph swing hard to tell with her fat wilted leaves in this condition. could be bacteria changing the ph and or not enough o2 in the reservoir... Hope this sounds like a possibility and a helps with a plan to fix this... Good luck.
