Hi may I've been grew outdoors for a while and I've done all sorts of experiments .I found putting on two plants in one pot doesn't work for me .like the other folks says they just fight the roots or one will dominate the other one. or they will both be small .that's just what I've learned it might work with other people but not me .hope it helped

On one side I would totally agree with most of the answers, saying don't do it because it may cause problems and the plants / roots will fight eachother for the space. On the other side it could totally work out fine depending on the overall growing methods and some factors. I'm having a grow at the moment with 4 X 15 liter pots with 4 plants each inside a 80x80cm tent. So it's 16 plants total. BUT the pots are devided, so the roots of each plant should stay in their place. I'm using Autopots with pot dividers as you can see in my diary: growdiaries.com/diaries/252073-ethos-genetics-gmo-zkittlez-f1-grow-journal-by-samsemilla So if you want to cover a space quickly (short veg) with a nice canopy from a lot of small plants - SoG style, I can be totally done, even in big pots. I guess this way could bring some complications with it, but also can be very rewarding in the end. Grow love, think positive and stay elevated. ✌️

If you're working with 100L pots, sure 😂 All kidding aside, it's a terrible idea. Firstly, check with local and county laws if that's even allowed. Some countries have laws that clearly state, your plants are to be separate from others's. Secondly, you're not going to be able to regulate each plant's specific needs by growing in one pot. For instance, one plant is fine with 0.5ml of CalMag, and another could need 1ml. The problem persists in regulating nutrients like Nitrogen, Potassium and Phosphor. Don't even get me started on ph.. Just no. Even with auto flowers, keep the plants separate.

Some of the best growers in the US grow in beds with living soil. They have weeds and all sorts growing in them, indoors. It may be on You Tube. They're called Living Beds and it refers to the condition of the soil.I mthink they reuse the soil after harvest andits about keeping a good soil food web with the microbes/bacteria.If theres enough room then its not a problem but anything less than around 30ltrs and 1 will just overgrow and out compete the other.

unreasonable. No reason to do it. Only negatives caused by it. even in a large pot, better not to cause competition between root systems.

I'm in agreement with the majority on this, 1 plant per pot, otherwise your going to hit problems.

Really depends on the size of the pot and how long they're gonna veg. I personally wouldn't in a soil/Coco context but I've done it a bit in hydro out of the same tote/rez. It makes things a little more complicated training wise when they get bigger. Having the freedom to move each plant makes filling out the canopy easier.

Don't do it. Plants will fight for every available thing they need. It hurts the overall grow.

As reasonable as you want it to be so long as there is adequate space to grow. Currently growing 4 photos in single pot. Could easily handle more on a faster turn around. Exceptions are made by those who choose to make them. Size is key. You decide if your cup is half empty or half full. No exceptions.

Never grow 2 or more plants in one pot, they will spend their lives competing with each other for light, nutrients, water, root space.........everything......... and instead of growing two plants, you end up with two half plants.............and a big waste of time! One plant, one pot...........no exceptions.
