When placing dry buds in jars for the first time do you put RH packs right away or wait some time?

Hello! I think it's all up to your own preference how you want to do it. The RH packs (Boveda, integra etc.) are humidity regulators and they work two ways 'cos the stuff inside is hygroscopic ("suck" moisture from air). If the RH is higher than lets say 62% (If you have Boveda 62%) the pack will "suck" the excess moisture and stabilize to 62% RH and if it is drier the pack will remove the moisture to yet again stabilize to 62%. You can always reuse the packs by soaking it in the water (RO or DI water preferred) for couple days. Just remember to still burb the jars for couple days to remove excess moisture IF the pack cant do all the job.

Put some bud leaves inside the jar has worked for me and won’t ruin your flavor either 🤙🏻

fresh harvested buds usually don't need pack.let them moisten the jar with the water they have inside.remove the top for some time each day, depending on how moist they are inside, let the moisture go away, close the jar.this is curing. When they get drier than you wanted them to be,you can put in the pack. + remove the pack when humidity inside reaches the desired level.it kills the aroma when it overstays in the jar

If they're dry as a popcorn fart, right away. Won't hurt and will pump moisture back into your buds asap, firming them up and helping them cure. Much luck👍

I put them in right away. It keeps your buds at the perfect moisture level. If your buds get to dry then the cure phase is not as good. Buds need that moisture for cure.

No I would wait a day or two with burping because if you put them in right away the buds will stay to moist! The humidity packs are better for fully dried buds! Good luck 🍀👍
