Curling down cotyledon leaves bad sign?

Riptorch
Riptorchstarted grow question 5 years ago
Seedlings just popped about 24 hours ago and the cotyledon leaves on one are curling downwards already. Is this normal? I’m trying to make sure not to over water. I also poked some holes in the soil nearby to help oxygen circulation. Hopefully she makes it.

Hi @Riptorch at this stage it is advisable to just spray the soil with a sprayer whenever you find it dry, spray gently so as not to damage the plants. If you keep your grow humidity at 70% -80% you won't have to spray the pots so often. to raise the humidity you can spray the walls of the grow and place some containers in the grow with water. good luck mate 👍

Once you soak the medium for priming the sow. Never water again until 3-4th set of leaves. Only mist 1-2 times day with a spray bottle.

Hey what’s up! Like @GRow_M8s said, be careful with the water. Obviously this isn’t exact and all plants are different but week 1 my plants recieved 100-200ml every 36 hours or so. I’ve found that it’s much easier to under water than fix over watering. Patience is key. Let her dry out to your first knuckle before you consider watering again, also lifting pots And feeling weight can help give an idea how much water is really in them. Good luck✌️🌱

Hey m8, You have watered this little baby, just let it dry and be more careful with the water. In big pots like this you should water small amounts just around the seedling. Remember that its better to dry a bit than overwatered! Good luck
