genetics and possible exacerbted by being slightly overfed. If it gets darker / more lush, adjust N down further and possibly Mg or Ca - both also cause dark foliage if too much is provided. N is the most likely culprit, but this visible symptom is not discrete. looks like it is more advanced than other plants in tent? were they started at the same time? faster finishing plants tend to be smaller plants. can't judge just be size. g/sqft/day is 'real' productivity. productivity is a rate, not a counting number.

Hey Growmie! 👋 No worries — seeing some pistils turning orange doesn't necessarily mean the buds are done bulking. Many autos will keep stacking for a while even after hairs start changing color. 🔥 If your EC and pH are dialed in and you're being cautious with nitrogen (smart move this late), you're doing great. 👌 🔍 A few tips to keep in mind: Pistil color isn’t a harvest sign by itself — new white hairs = more growth to come. Buds can still bulk up a lot in the final 2–3 weeks, especially with strains like Cola Cherry. And about those purple buds you’re expecting: If she has the genetics for it, you can encourage anthocyanin expression (the purple pigments) by: Dropping nighttime temps by a few degrees – try getting it down to 17–19°C (63–66°F) if possible. 🌙 Some growers also do a cold water flush near harvest to boost colors slightly. Cooler temps trigger the plant’s defense response, helping that purple shine through — especially late in flower. You're on a great path — just let her ride a bit longer. She’s still got more to give. 🌿💜 Good luck & frosty buds ahead! 🍒🔥
