Hi, I’m growing a plant that’s now around week 5, and I’m a bit concerned. The leaves have changed color, and the growth seems very slow. I topped it once, and I’m using Biobizz nutrients with Biobizz All-Mix soil. Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

Hey growmie, from the look of it, I’d say your plant’s showing early signs of nitrogen deficiency—the lighter green, almost yellow lower leaves while the top stays a bit healthier is usually the giveaway. It’s pretty common around Week 5, especially in Biobizz All-Mix once the initial nutrients start running out. Also, after topping, plants slow down a bit to recover, and that can make any feeding gaps show up faster. A few things to check: Make sure your pH is dialed in—Biobizz soil prefers something around 6.2 to 6.5. If it’s too low or too high, even if you feed, she won’t take it up properly. You might need to give her a little boost of Bio-Grow even in early flower, plants still need some nitrogen. Keep an eye on watering—All-Mix holds moisture quite well, so letting the top layer dry properly before watering again helps avoid slow growth from soggy roots. It doesn’t look too bad yet, just catch it early and she should perk up fine. Hope that helps, good luck with the rest of the grow bro 🤞🍀♥️

Phosphorous deficiency would have lower yellowing but darker blue green upper leaves, Potassium would be showing dead areas along the edges but this appears more of a Nitrogen issue. All three will stunt growth. Most important first is the basics for her growing conditions and only you know that. If proper PH, watering and feeding, air circulation, heat and humidity, light source and distance have been maintained then you can approach nutrient lock out or deficiency. Type in "11 common cannabis nutrient deficiencies" in Google, from Organtek and I have found this useful and pairs well with info I have used for 10 years now. It's an art and can be challenging since many problems look very similar until late stages and beyond recovery time. Good luck

Looks like the chlorosis is starting at the top, eh? more than one thing is possible. leaf symptoms alone are not enough for a proper diagnosis. One possiblity is too much p or k. a trace element or two are possible, but that is more often caused by pH issues or over-abundance of other stuff locking it out etc. most people have bad watering habits, so just in case: 1) fully saturate entire medium 2) wait for appropriate dryback for a healthy rootzone and repeat. if you are chosing a volume of water to give, this is wrong. If you aren't letting dryback dicate frequency of irrigation, that is wrong too. Not adhering to this simple proces can evenetually lead to any and all sorts of problems. Just because it doesn't happen one grow doesn't mean you aren't creating an opportunity for bad outcomes.

All-Mix comes pre-fertilized. It's fairly heavy as far as pre-mix goes. It depends if you have been feeding biobizz nutrients for 4 weeks, all mix is usually good for 4-5 weeks without adding anything, lime greening kinda hints at alkaline pH skew. Soil with a high pH (alkaline) can make certain nutrients like iron less available to the plant, even if they are present in sufficient amounts, leading to deficiency symptoms like lime green leaves. Worth making sure pH is in a healthy range. Either that or just plain hungry for nitrogen. No diary so I'm unsure either way.
