Making waterlogged soil useable

I have waterlogged ground in a mini half 'island' between two creeks. Can I make the fertile ground there useable with coco-coir, sand and woodchips?

dont see why not if you have the stuff to build the ground up should be a ok
could be a good growing site with flowing water beneath, plants would like that

Staggered harvests?Two main tops and a several smaller buds deeper in the plant that are not as far along in the flowering stage as the other six main tops. Should I remove these leaves?
