Overheat in tent? Measuring Correctly?

HID lights on seedlings day 2 (25 cm dist.) I was alarmed by temperatures rising since yesterday to 35 despite exhaust & small fan inside tent. Tent doesn’t feel overly hot. moving sensor to above light it reads at a good 26-27. What’s the best way to understand tent temperature?

The most important zone in your growroom or tent is your cannopy so this is the zone where all your sensors need to be Be gentle with a hid on seedlings,25cm is a good distance with a 250w when your in flower,in veg I don’t go lower as 30 and with seedlings I start at 35-40cm and if they stretch I lower my lamp according to the level of stretch (every strain reacts a bit different) Where’s your exhaust position?best place is as high as possible and the inlet low for a good airflow and removal of hot air Good luck with your ladies ✌️

THANKS to both of you. Moved sensor to canopy and at 27.5 (glad overheating was a false issue). Also moved Light to 35cm for rest of seedling phase. I had read 25 and was worried about stretching which looks already a bit borderline on these gals after six days old. But it’s a first grow so overly checking everything !!

25cm seems very close to seedlings... I am strugling with temperature on my 1st indoor grow, i had "good" results putting the fan on the floor, to make the cool air on the bottom circulate
