Depends on your setup. What are you running? With my rdwc system I keep the air pump on 24h. The more oxygen in the water the less chance for root rot.

Hello. Its good to saturate your water with oxygen once a day first thing in the morning. I would leave it on for 15 to 30 minutes. Chuck.

Mycelium or Fungus - Too much Part 2I am seeing a ton of mycelium on all of my autopots. Because I have a bottom feed system, it is hard to keep my top medium wet without getting mold. Is this going to effect my end result if I do not do anything about this? Should I leave it alone or put sand on it?

couple quick questionsDo I need to close the flap to the vent during dark cycles? (Lights off during the day) and should I block lights coming from fan power, humidifier, dehumidifier, or indicator lights?
Also do I need to use the carbon filter the whole time?

Help with airflow. I've got an extractor and 3 circulating fans. Would a powerful inline fan be better than the 3 circulating fansQuestion about environment here.
I've got a 5x5 tent. Total 46m area.
460m3/hr needed to be extracted.
Extractor fan is capable of taking 600m3/hr.
I did have in an inline fan but it's no longer working. Do I need another inline fan ?? I've opened two ports for passive intakeSetup. Ventilation

I can't control temperature. I'm so discouraged.How are you guys keeping temperatures down!? I have an hlg 600 Rspec at 50% power and the Temps won't go below 81 degrees with the light on. So has anybody used these cordless mini dehumidifiers in their grow rooms? They’re small units that u charge over night every so often when the silica changes colour? My grow room is very small so an electric dehumidifier wouldn’t fit and I’m struggling to keep humidity downSetup. Ventilation

I am having trouble keeping my RH lower than 65%. Any ideas (without using a dehumidifier)?

ventilation for a 4x8 ? basically is that too much negative pressure and if so should I get anther intake ?currently using a 200mm inline exhaust fan that has 914 m3/h(537,9 cfm) max currently using it at its medium setting of 792 m3/h(466,15 cfm) and using a 125 mm inline intake fan with only 330 m3/h (194,23 cfm).
