The "wild west" of mailing seeds is basically coming to an end in late 2026. The biggest change is that the feds are closing the loophole that let people ship cannabis seeds everywhere by calling them "hemp"—if the parent plant was high-THC, those seeds will soon be considered illegal to move across state lines. For states, this means they’ll have to become "islands" where everything stays local, and for regular farmers, it means way more paperwork and stricter rules on invasive species. Basically, if you want to grow anything specific from out of state, you’ll want to grab it before the new rules kick in. 😒
