Small, flowers

Hello guys, This is my first autoflower grow. Flowering started 8 weeks ago as of today. My plants don’t look too good — it seems like the buds aren’t developing properly, and I think there is a strong nutrient deficiency as well. What could I have done wrong?

Nothing wrong, bottleneck somewhere in your overall cycle. If I was a betting man I'd guess you have oxygen problems. Either that your ratio of nutrients is skewed causing ph to drift out of range. If it was solely a nute def then symptoms would appear linked to its mobility. Its pH skew, or antagonized lockout. It is surprisingly easy to create an anoxic (zero oxygen) environment in a plant's root zone, even when attempting to oxygenate it. While oxygen is essential for root respiration, the physical properties of water make it a "lockout" mechanism when the medium is oversaturated, because oxygen diffuses 10,000 times slower in water than in air and 320,000 times slower soil saturated past a point. Gotta make sure by time 🌙 night comes the medium is in a sweet spot for oxygenation and the air has adequate space for more moisture and rh remains controlled. Failure to do so will gradually overtime if water is not moving fast enough or is getting trapped anywhere in those pots its just a matter of time. Keeping close tabs on ambient humidity day and night during the flowering period is crucial for indoor. A thick, shaded canopy restricts airflow and reduces evaporation of medium. In this phase, high relative humidity (RH) not creating adequate wet dry cycle can slowly start to break down the entire energetic process that's what I see. The transition of microorganisms from aerobic (oxygen-rich) to anaerobic (oxygen-deprived) conditions results in a significantly slower breakdown, plant runs on 10%20% potential, acids release in form of lacric acid skewing ph acidic. 40% of all carbon a cannabis plant captures is exuded into the soil to feed Micros, this slowly increases moisture retention as time goes on. If you are also delivering nutrients organically then the microorganisms will also directly compete with the plant for oxygen at a higher rate than compared to synthetic delivery. Very very common to see 4th week of flower onwards a complete breakdown of oxygen. Slowly over time leads to this exact m.o. Apologies for long winded answer, but it is a long complex answer and if you don't wanna see the same problem every grow going forward I'd suggest you take the time to study up on negative pressure and apply it to your tent at nights. Or just ignore everything I said and add calmag.

Need more potassium. Look how well your plants went when you grew photo/fems............might be a clue there. Autos are not all they are made out to be.............more marketing than substance.

Salam Sygnoman1987! 👋 Welcome to the finish line of your first autoflower run, Habibi! 🏁 Don't be too hard on yourself; autoflowers can be tricky for beginners because they are on a strict genetic timer. Let's look at your situation through the lens of Modern Engineering so you know exactly what is happening: 🛠️ 1. The "Deficiency" Myth (The Fade): 🍂 You mentioned that you are at 8 weeks of flowering and seeing heavy yellowing. At this late stage, yellow leaves are actually not a nutrient deficiency! This is the natural "Autumn Fade" (senescence). Because the plant is reaching the end of its life cycle, it has stopped absorbing food from the soil and is instead cannibalizing the stored nutrients in its own leaves to keep the buds alive. Do not try to feed her heavy nutrients right now; it is perfectly normal for her to look yellow and ugly at the end! 2. Why are the buds small? (The Veg Window): 📉 If your buds are small at Week 8 of flower, the mistake actually happened months ago. Because autoflowers run on a countdown clock, the first 3 to 4 weeks of their life (the vegetative stage) dictate the final yield. If the plant experiences any stress during those first 30 days (such as overwatering, poor lighting, or cold temperatures), the root system gets stunted. A stunted root system cannot build a large frame, which means it physically cannot support large, heavy buds later on. Your Action Plan: The window to make these buds bigger has officially closed. Right now, your only job is to check the trichomes (resin glands) with a jeweler's loupe. Once they are all cloudy/milky, chop her down! Enjoy your first harvest, take notes, and on your next run, focus 100% of your engineering on keeping the environment perfect for the first 30 days. You will see a massive difference! 🚀 Happy Growing! 💚

The paleness of the leaves is probably exaggerated by the grow lights -- things look paler under intense light. But, if it's trending that way, still a concern. Lushness can be related to N, Ca and Mg. If it's more yellow at bottom than top, that points toward N. Looks like it is creeping up the plant from what i can see. So, probably reduced your N too much or too soon. bump it up a bit without upsetting the balance of the rest of the nutrients and see how it goes. It's much easier to add than take away from the medium, so don't feel like you failed. Take note of how your formula changed over time an dmake some adjustments to avoid this in your next grow.. .rinse and repeat until you are confident in your methods to consistently grow healthy plants deep into flower. It won't take long if you pay attention and take some notes. Fertilization is the culmination of every choice you made from the staart... how you feed early impacts needs later. so, there are many ways to skin this cat and have good results. You do have some limited chlorosis, but it hasn't progressed to dead spots, so it can heal and reverse course. Even a few dead spots isn't the end of the world. How fast did it progress? That should impact the degree to which you respond (increasing N concentration).

Just my humble opinion, you bought auto flowers. There is a multitude of upsetting things about autoflowers at large. It's literally the iTunes library of plant genetics. The good news is is, we live in a world where you're still free to make different decisions moving forward on your seat selection. Remember those things are crossbred with something less than hemp

Resetting pH and increasing water movement through transpiration and evaporation involves manipulating environmental conditions, primarily by slightly increasing temperatures and ensuring air movement, while managing root-zone moisture. Best of luck.

Unstable genetic …. Ruderalis traits not being locked properly in the genetic mapping. You can see the Sativa dominance pattern from the leaves and buds development.
