Ph my RO water

i started using RO water for my upcomming DWC grow. THe first think that noticed is that the RO water was way harder to PH correctly! its reacting so much more heavy on PH up and down, i need way less of it . is this normal ? and are there any tips and tricks for this ?

I have been using RO for the last few years. What I have learned is that RO water holds nearly 0 PPM (particles per million) "pure h2o", readings taken from it aren't correct. What you need is something in the h2o to act as a buffer/stabilizer. Most people will mention the use of Calcium and Magnesium with RO water, because regular "hard" water contains tons of these minerals. These are two major building blocks in cannabis but also when added to water it acts as the buffer/stabilizer, so you can get a proper reading with your PH meter. To sum up adding Calmg supplement will help keep the PH in tune. Hope this is some help!

have not used R/O yet but use growth technology nutrients see they offer a PH buffered nutrient specially for R/O applications maybe others do the same. i suppose the water being cleaned of everything means less acid is needed to control can only be good for the plants
