@Vega0284, Well, I just burned some wood, soaked it in water (well, also chucked a lot of it around the plants). I can't recommend any brands (for potassium bicarb since it's not available for a reasonable price here). I got to that (ash/char) from reading about potassium bicarbonate, ash/char has quite a bit of potassium carbonate (not the same, but similar properties), lots of calcium, a bit of phosphor. The calcium content, depending on the material, means it might be a nice alternative to some other calcium source too (somethinig like bonemeal). I'd try to avoid sodium bicarbonate in general, like if I use it, only small amounts of it, and then it would be very specific use. Like when you're *really really* worried about fungus, and even then, I'd probably mix it with something like potassium bicarb/ash/char. Potassium and sodium are often related in biological function, like in humans, you have to kinda keep a balance...you can have a lot of potassium or sodium, but if you do have lots of potassium you need lots of sodium and vice versa. But yeah, I'm not sure what a good ratio of potassium to sodium would be for plants, but it's gonna be a LOT more potassium than sodium if I had to guess. Simplest thing to search for would probably just be potassium bicarb (it really does seem far more common in north america than here), or make some ash/char shit yourself, for potassium carbonate, more ash than char. *Bizarrely, some guy just replied to me about some related stuff. He's got some interesting pictures there too, but I'm not sober enough to understand them: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/28932-let-mother-nature-do-the-job-1st-part

This was by far one of the most rewarding plants I've ever grown. Unfortunately I lost one due to root rot and letting my grow tent over heat. I will say that growing this from seed I was very pleasantly suprised with the structure of the plant as well as how hardy it grew.

This was a pretty easy strain to grow. Especially with all the mistakes I made. She was very resistant and bounced back from multiple root rot scares, poor watering and bad nutrient management. The smoke is just as nice as her mother. Smells like a west coast IPA and smokes like a blueberry. Will be regrowing this one, but straight from seed, and if I do take clones I will skip the whole "monster cropping". My big fail here was not supplementing silica and poor training. The buds that grew were too heavy to be supported by the weak stems, and again full of popcorn bud because of poor training. But god damn do I love the smell taste and effect of this plant.
