Top 10 Strongest Strains 2020

If you are a regular pot user, you may be wondering which is next strongest weed to try. Amongst the huge number of cannabis genetics on the market nowadays, it can be difficult to know which strains are the most potent.

Selectively crossing breeds has the inevitable result of cannabis becoming stronger, as well as increasing yields.

With weed becoming more popular across the globe, growers are often looking for the best strains to satisfy the 'high' demand. We've put together this list of cannabis strains that will surely blow your head off and get you reaching new highs.

Strongest Cannabis Strains 2020

Runtz Muffin - Barney's Farm (29% THC)

Barney's Farm has been killing it when it comes to keeping up with new trends in the cannabis cultivation space. Runtz Muffin (Zkittlez x Gelato) is one of their recent releases and does not disappoint in the slightest. This juicy lady spills over with THC (up to 29%), developing tight nugs during flowering that can display a whole range of deep purples and vibrant greens and oranges.

The members of GrowDiaries have eagerly started experimenting with Runtz Muffin, with growers such as happygrower1 satisfied with the harvests and quality of the bud, stating 'I can't speak highly enough of Runtz Muffin'. This strain we can definitely see becoming a widespread favorite and is well recommended for those who love citrusy flowers.

Wifi OG - Guru Seeds (27% THC )

This amazing strain has its origin coming from a cross between The White and Fire OG Kush, two popular that came from the US, more specifically, the west coast. This hybrid is considered by cannabis connoisseurs to be one of the most potent and fragrant marijuana plants available on the market today.

WiFi OG, or sometimes called White Fire OG is an ever so slightly sativa-dominant hybrid kush strain with extremely high THC levels, all the way up to 27 % in the hands of a grower with the right experience and it is famous for its relaxing and uplifting effects.

Shogun - Royal Queen Seeds (25% THC)

Shogun from Royal Queen Seeds

Shogun is known for its mega THC content (25%) as well as the extreme focus it induces in its user. As it is mostly sativa dominant, the cerebral effect makes it very uplifting and will have you full of energy. Flowering times are mid range (9-11 weeks) but it is definitely worth the wait as you will be left with tasty harvests. Growing indoors is on the easier side and under the right conditions, Shogun can produce a yield of up to 600g/m2.

Its potency comes from its parents, both of which have a long history. It gained its sativa dominance through the Amnesia Haze genetic but also descends from Royal Gorilla. This fusion of terpene flavours gives Shogun a wonderful piney taste that will leave you feeling connected to mother nature.

See Nebula420's grow diary for some tasty results growing Shogun.

Kritikal Bilbo - Genehtik (18-25% THC)

For those who like a strong indica effect, Kritikal Bilbo is a great choice. Being an Afghan genetic bred with Skunk, it has a potent, physical high that may make you think about saving your next bong hit for later.

Kritikal Bilbo is sweet and fruity in flavour with a citrusy aroma, while still retaining its skunky traits. Suited to indoor and outdoor environments, it is both low maintenance and produces decent yields, making it a worthy starter plant for beginners.

Because it is ridiculously easy to grow and has a flowering time of 6-7 weeks, you can harvest up to 550-600g/m2 of stash in no time, with little effort.

Gorilla Glue #5 - GG Strains (up to 30%)

Gorilla Glue #5, referred to as New Glue, is the next advancement in the Glue line. Developed by GG Strains, New Glue was created by breeding a Sister Glue with Gorilla Glue #4. THC levels for this one have reached up to a mega 30%, which put it up there with some of the highest THC strains currently in development.

This cultivar is mostly Indica and is said to deliver a potent, euphoric high that can leave the user feeling relaxed and at ease, making it a potentially good choice for medicinal users. GG Strains have definitely raised the bar with this genetic so let's hope to see more growers choosing their seeds.

Strawberry Pie Auto - Fast Buds (26% THC)

You will not be disappointed with this autoflowering strain, which has huge amounts of THC, up to a whopping 26%. Big, frosty buds covered in light pinks, purples, greens and oranges make this plant a real beauty. It is an indica dominant strain and can be grown in under 9 weeks making it an excellent choice for any cannabis consumer.

As well as bursting with smooth, flavourful terpenes that taste like skunky fruit punch, smoking Strawberry Pie will give you well balanced body high without feeling too tired.

According to smoking_hills9 from GrowDiaries, Strawberry Pie Auto is 'strong and got loads of flower herbs flavour'. Highly recommended by the community for being relatively easy to grow.

Dos Si Dos #33 - Barney's Farm (22-28% THC)

We present to you another super strong plant which has come from some superb Californian genetics. Dos Si Dos #33 is high yielding with explosive growth and crammed with tasty terpenes.

You can grow up to 700g/m2 in around 9 weeks, meaning you can happily get multiple harvests per year. Not only does this plant smell incredible, its monster levels of THC between 22% and 28% will leave you smiling and feeling glad you decided to try it out.

The Breath - BC Bud Depot (up to 27%)

The Breath is the product of Pugs Breath crossed with Somoa Cookies, created by BC Bud Depot. This frosty purple green beast of a plant is certainly an attractive lady to be fully enjoyed. The Breath produces gassy odors and deliver a high like that of a classic Indica. This potent, sativa/indica hybrid strain is sure to knock you back into your chair.

Expect intense kush like flavours with a citrusy orange hit. It's delicious flavour is accompanied with tasty levels of THC, at around 27%. BC Bud Depot have plenty of other awesome strains to check out so make sure you make a note!

Wedding Cheesecake Auto - Fast Buds (24% THC)

Wedding Cheesecake Auto from Fast Buds

Another powerful cultivar from Fast Buds, the Wedding Cheesecake Auto is full of exploding, creamy characteristics. A hit on this will send you flying due to its heavy amount of THC, which reach astronomical levels of nearly 24%. Not to mention the stunning production of trichomes loaded with rich, sweet terpenes that taste like biting into a cheesy fruit cake. Simply delicious.

This autoflower will give you between 450-600gr/m2 in 9 weeks from seed and is recommended for any level of growing. Resilient against the conditions of the indoor and outdoor, Wedding Cheese Cake Auto makes a great pick for those looking for an easy entry into cultivation.

  • THC: 24%
  • Yield: 450-600gr/m2
  • Flowering time: 9 Weeks

White Sugar OG - Aztech Genetics (25% THC)

This sensational strain is dressed in sugary goodness and over flowing with fragrant aromas. Jam packed with resin, smoking White Sugar OG will deliver a sweet, indica dominating experience that is not to be underestimated. As a cross between Sugar Black Rose and White OG and its THC at a gigantic 25% this is inarguably bud an experienced stoner would savour.

White Sugar OG is reported to deal with training well, as seen in DeaneR's grow diary. Mainlining, defoliation and topping allowed for yields of over 480g/m2. A great example of the possible benefits of using coco coir as a grow medium.

@@Blacklisted, I wasn't aware companies gifted nutrients as prizes. I mean asking for money is pretty low I will agree with you there especially when most companies will throw free samples at you in a hope you'll switch :) Same with seeds I have found which is great cause it means you can represent the grower on this site and get free seeds to boot :)

I hope to god this was not the winner of the proof writing competition else that's gunna be one shitty addition to the GD team lol

What makes this dude qualified to make a top 10 strains of 2020, so I get notifications about it? - And why is there a buy link under every strain? Does he get commission or something? Cuz I can make some random list of strains and call it a "top 10 something something 2020 strains", as well, if that's the case. lol

Do I need to start writing the articles? Thug pug, inhouse, mass medical, like they hit 25%+ thc and are top shelf flowers. Jinxproof? No offense but these are breeders that throw out straight mids with no actual consistency in phenos. I've made my point. Example: Indigo Prayer Child Bx1 hit 28%thc and it was a MALE. This is way off. Mainstream breeders.

i've liked all the seedbanks ive used out of many seedbanks except for growers choice surprised they had a strain make this list lol, also we all know high thc percentage does not mean its better then strains with lower thc percentages it's just one of many cannaboloids in the flower.....the companies i heard produce the best genetics are usually sold out everywhere i heard dna genetics, rare dankness got some powerful strains, always did good with barneys farm and fastbuds strains,i got seedsman/ripper seeds/garden of green/and barneys farm to try in my next grow..i'd love to do a auto grow using mephisto but like i mentioned always sold out...i've had weed test at 16% thc get me higher then weed that tested at 29%, i do see a few strains i might try my next grow on this list though thanks for the info

@@mrmateo, do you ever try TGA or Brothers Grimm? Never any herms, the strains come out with little doubt to how it will grow, smell, produce. Original Cindy 99 came from bro's Grimm. No autos though

@Lui1983, on alot of other forums anesia is know for putting random numbers into their "tests"... never tested any seeds from them myself but i was recommended to stay away from future #1 cause of this.. and after checking growlogs with future 1 i dont think this info is false tbh

This is really not a good article.. I would definitely either change the headline or delete it completely. The overall quality of Growdiaries is not really given right now.. Same with contents and "winners" and people that get all the attention because they expose their wifes or girlfriends bodies naked.. lol. Why is this article bad? Because is obviously doesn't show the strongest strains for 2020. If I give such a headline, I HAVE TO give the strongest strains aswell and not some random, unstable genetics..
