This is Remo Chemo by Dinafem. Some things to detail and so to be clear I am approaching the rating as my first taste of the strain, and not rating the grow experience so much - often we blend a little of both.
Remo Chemo was started in a batch of single stalk sea of green I was doing with the intent of cloning. Off to a good start, I thought RC would lead the pack. When transplanting, the roots got stuck and I ripped a major part of the ball off. I make many errors, but roots are not common.
After seeing the wilt I went into conservative mode for much of the grow. I didn’t train as I was worried about the main stem. I didn’t defoliate (compared to my norms). It still was on pace as a quick time through, just lagging behind the others, so small plant size overall.
This also spans a finishing winter period struggle with temperatures which effected my ability to clone. With lockdowns and at times in need of more clone supplies, I didn’t even try to clone. I’ve given away some seeds and spread the love, but I still have some and plan on doing a rerun soon.
During growing, the buds weren’t super strong smelling though you could tell they would be potent. After harvest, the smell came in as just strong herb that takes your breath away and fills in the space with a pungent almost fuel like (but not quite) taste. Certainly exciting enough flavour for solo vaping, but not providing anything distinct or clashing if you want to mix. I feel like the flavour reminds me of one of those chewing gum advertisements that give you a rush of a mountain range, fresh stream, and arctic iceberg all in one instant.
The effects is where the score comes from. I think it would be unbecoming of me to make such a poor attempt and put 10/10 so for now I’ll settle with displaying a nine. Dinafem claimed it was strong and potent and I fully endorse that, it made me so hungry! I routinely destroy the kitchen whilst vaping which is uncommon for me, I have to imagine it would be great for medical treatments and appetite stimulation. I also find it hits you square in the forehead, a flash of really stoned, that lasts awhile. It has been a serious step up in THC content to what I am normally producing. I’ll save you the space but I could go on and on about the effects here.
It didn’t look it at first, but the buds are coated in trichomes which is a bit better close up. Product was tight and dense, and I found myself not over consuming to compensate.
All in all I am very impressed here, massive potential. As stated, I want to finish whats going on, with many strains being culled, and plant another one of my Remo Chemo seeds and do it well this time. No ripped roots, no pests (who am I kidding), greater attention, and millions of clones. Remember, patience is a virtue.
