The Purple Haze is a vigorous, mostly Sativa hybrid that has inherited the best features of its parents, Afghan genetics combined with a huge resin producer - Purple Kush. The result is a beautiful plant with long, dense tops covered with trichomes. The shading is darker than most Sativas and closer to the dark green of her Afghani heritage varieties than the lime green of their equatorial counterparts. When exposed to lower temperatures at the end of flowering, leaves and calyxes can rapidly change colour from dark green to lavender or violet and sometimes blue. Moreover, it is an easy-to-grow plant, the flowering period is between 65 to 70 days and with proper care, the results will be spectacular. Growers can expect high and aromatic yields. The subtle sweet aroma becomes much stronger and richer when buds are harvested. The flavour is between incense, woody yet even metallic, with those fresh forest back notes that make her a pleasure to smoke and enjoy. • Yield: Indoor: 500-600 gr/m2 | Outdoor: 700 gr/plant • Flowering Time: 65-70 days Indoor | mid/end October Outdoor • Flavour & Aroma: Fresh, Forest, Earthy, Musky, Wood, Metallic • Effect: Cerebral, Stimulating

Even though most of the THC evaporates since I took the serrations from the plant and dried them in the oven, it is genetically very strong and I liked it very much. I will update my diary in the future.

I love that rather than being called "purple" for the leaves, it's called purple for the actual calyxes colorful. They are reddish pink in some places and I'm thrilled to see how they looked manicured and dried/cured. Didn't weight the plant wet because my scale is too small for trying to weight this giant plant haha. Oh well. Will make sure to get dry weight.

She hang dried as a whole plant for 11 days in a room set at 60% RH with temps never going above 70 f° or 21 c°. She was then trimmed and placed in jars for 4 weeks while burping everyday to let out excess moisture. The end product is terpy and potent just the way I like it. I've grown this one before and this round came out a little more dense than last but not as purple. I really enjoy consuming Purple Haze the first half of the day as it gives a nice cerebral high, very uplifting with a nice head buzz. I do feel some relaxation after a few hits as well especially towards the end of the afternoon. The taste is great! It's a metallic berry with the typical spicy haze backtones. Growing this cultivar was a joy. Just made one mistake in week 4 of flower by over feeding with uprising bloom. Her leaves burnt until about week 6-7 then I could see the burning coming to a stop while the buds swell up. Big shout out to Mars Hydro! Nothing but great results whenever we are underneath one of these top tier grow lights.

Buds dried for 12 days. They have now been in the jar for 2 weeks and the smell is starting to become sweeter and sweeter. I will give official report in 2 weeks after buds are fully cured. But I can stay this was fun to grow. The bud structure is definitely a typical haze look but with beautiful purple and green calyxes. The smell is incredible and hard to discribe. Kinda like a fresh cool rain in the mountains with the pine tree and lavender smell with a small hint of grape. But the grape is very suddle and has some top tones of the typical spicy haze. Definitely a must try. Update! The buds are as cured as I like them to be before giving a good smoke review. They have spend 30 days in the jar with a steady 62% RH. I have burped the jars everyday since placing the flowers in them. As I open the Purple Haze jar the air around me instantly starts smelling as the smell I described. These Hazey people and green buds are very frosty with long trichomes all over. After loading it in my vaporizer I turn it on and let it warm up. First toke of the Purple Haze out of the vape! Mmmmm the taste is just like how it smells. Earthy with Forrest smells and lavender with the smallest hint of grape. A few more puffs in... Giving me a really nice head buzz. It feels uplifting and my mood is beginning to feel happy and relaxed, wondering why I was stressing about this things I was before I hit the haze. A definit mood enhancer and gets conversations going! My favorite part of this cultivar is the aroma and flavor. If your a Haze fan you will fall in love with the old school classic strain purple haze. Hope this diary is helpful to someone! Thanks for stopping by! ✌️🏻😎💨
