This starts the beginning of moving from a 5x5 to a 4x8 grow space, and getting perpetual spaces setup. I am trying a few different strains (including seeds of blue cheese, white widow, blue widow, and monster cropped clones (purple haze and Sage N Sour) from the previous grow. Since two of my clones were much bigger I decided to try a scrog, top and mainline with both the purple haze and sage n sour in half the tent, while I am trying out a sog with mostly the seedlings blue cheese, blue widow, and purple haze clones. I moved one blue cheese and one white widow into a 2x4 veg tent with a bunch of purple haze clones I have staged for next grow. I plan on running primarily white widow off clones from the one white widow plant i intend on being a mother.
1st Day of Flower with 2x4 veg tent in week 4, includes 10 monster cropped purple haze clones with one white widow and blue cheese mother. Half of the 4x8 is a scrog net with purple haze and Sage N Sour (600 Watt HPS Digital ballast) and the other half is a sog (Mars Hydro TS3000) with Blue Cheese, Blue Widow, and Purple Haze. Rockwool grow with ebb and flow flood trays.
I defoliated the sog side and cleaned up with more low stress training on the trellis side. Beginning to see flower pistols start on some of them. I will not be doing two different grow styles on my next grow. I plan on doing the whole tent in a sog once I have enough clones and my mother plants get bushier. Need to upgrade my 2x4 tent lights for the clone staging tent.
Day 16 of the 8x4 Flower Tent with a variety of plants. Blue Cheese, Blue Widow and Purple Haze in front half of 3x6 flood tray (SOG style), and Purple Haze along with Sage N Sour on the back half of the table with a trellis net. I did these with a scrog style because they were older vegged plants. Things have been okay so far. Keeping fresh RO water PH'd and around 1250 PPM of TDS with Botanicare Pure Blend Bloom, Liquid Karma and Cal Mag .
Looks like the back half which were more mature will be done a bit sooner. Almost time to replace my carbon filter. Defoliation of Sage N Sour leaves a nice fuel citrus smell on my hands, the purple haze don't have much smell yet.
Because a lot of these were mixed and either from seed or different mothers, canopy management has been challenging. I've been rotating things around in the front as needed, and also moved two clones in this week which have both been vegging for 5 weeks. Bud development is coming along, but slower for the blue cheese.
This week went pretty chill, and with so many different phenos sharing the same canopy its been a dynamic situation to say the least..trying to keep the different heights rotating around as needed. Buds are developing nicely and its actually looking like most of my purple haze is ready to come down with cloudy to amber trichomes and nice dense sticky buds. I've already chopped a few, but I'll share those in my harvest pictures. I've enjoyed the action and am very impressed with the potency and flavor of the purple haze each time i grow it. My next grow cycle will be all white widow, so I'm really looking forward to a 36 plant grow from the same mother. peace out
The week has been good so far. Things are getting close to harvest for some of these. The Purple Haze and Sage N Sour are coming down along with one Blue Cheese. The scrog net has been dropped after cutting the Purple Haze scrog out and this gave more space for some other plants to get moved around in more optimal placement of lights and sizing. Once the majority of this grow is harvested I'll be moving in my white widow clones for the next flower cycle.
Excited to be wrapping this up and get my next 32 white widow clones moved into this tent now. I had too many pheno types and unbalanced canopy on this cycle, so I'm looking forward to doing all from the same mother on my next cycle. The variety of this grow was very fun to sample and really experienced potent flavorful results from all of these strains (purple haze, blue widow, blue cheese, sage n sour)
Love purple haze! I have some more clones vegging right now. I think I'll be keeping a mother of this strain because I have no more seeds of this strain
