White Widow

Solid and resilient strain. Plant looks gorgeous!

I first went to Amsterdam in 1997 . This was the first time I ever smoked White Widow. I think just like hearing Appetite for Destruction for the first time that this was a defining moment in my life. I had just experienced something that would forever set the bar. White Widow is ranked 19th best weed ever in High Times which is pretty damn good considering how many thousands of strains there are now. Due to restrictions brought in by the government in Holland there is now a THC limit on weed sold in coffeeshops. White Widow is no longer at its cannabis cup winning levels of 25% like it was in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I recently bought White Widow in Leiden and it was labeled as being 18% THC. It still tasted beautiful but just not the same. This is what prompted me to try growing some White Widow myself. Up to now I have only ever grown Autoflowers because of the ease and convenience .I think my first venture into photoperiods was always going to be White Widow though, It was inevitable ️️️️ Like most people I got sucked into the whole influx of all these new wonderfully named high THC strains like ‘Gorilla Girl Scout Mint Choc Gelato Dosi Punch Pie OG Cookies’. I really do think breeders have lost the run of themselves with all the crossings of strains. I recently smoked a strain which when I checked it’s genetics I found was a cross of around 14 stains and each of these 14 strains were a cross of around another 14 strains all of which contained Chemdog in their genetics which I think means I was just smoking Chemdog in the end and I’m not a fan of any weed I’ve smoked that even has a tiny little bit of Chemdog in it’s genetics. It’s a bit like cinnamon, you either love it or hate it. This is just a preference thing obviously and my preference is simple genetics and especially Amsterdam weed from the 90’s. This White Widow is exactly how I remember it, amazing. Nicest Weed Ever

I had 3 seeds and this last was the only one grown in the right conditions when flowering at least, so this time I got to see why the name White Widow, because the first two times while growing in hot and humid conditions, the girls did not show any white coats... but now, with the AC from mid flower to harvest and dry and cure... I guess she showed her face! This last seed was a dwarf, I thought she would not make but I took care of her and she started to get back on track but her buds and leaves where smaller then a normal plant... one site almost normal, the other small.. anyway... she still produced some decent buds and beautiful flowers....

Good old widow, this is the variety that started my growing journey over a decade ago. Thanks to GHS for the old bonus seeds, the germination of the old 2014-2015 seed sets is ultra high! I'll complete the review after the crop is cured.

как и другие мои растишки на кокосе , все страдали засолом, но тем не менее все выглядели супер. эта вдова так вообще топчик. единственное из-за влажности немного подгнила, а другие растении на той же стадии стоявшие в одном боксе не гнили. кустиком очень доволен , ароматный , смолнистый

The coco plant produced prettier buds, seems a bit more quality. One of the pheno's was very Cristal with a lot of trichomes, but got nutrient burn towards the end so it was not the greatest result. Very heavy smell

WW a classic! 10 seeds 10 different phenotipes,anyway only few of them,gave me some problems. The plants gave me a lot of big buds.

Always a beautiful strain to grow. Maybe an old strain but still holds it own. Love it.

Nice and dense buds, heavy smell and very nice effect.Body and mind is very affected, love this strain!

this is the white widow i remember sweet and earthy coverd in white creamy trichs makes the bud look pale and a nice strong relaxing smoke bud structure is not the densest but not too airy would recommend to newbys and people who like a tasty oldschool strain. every smoker should try this at least once smoke 9/10 high 9/10 density 7/10 growth 9/10

I think this plant needs some extra cal-mag for flowering, we got a few burned tips and twisting of the leaves but after all nothing would stop her. The yield was much more then I predicted. The buds are heavy and dense, full of smell and I hope flavour. I will definitely be growing again with an adapted nutrients and watering tactic. I will updated the rest of the information as soon as I got to taste the result from the first two weeks cure. Hello again, I'm back a few weeks later and I have tried different class buds, the B and A are awesome, and the C is just tasteful but very weak until now. The larger batches (30 and 50g) are around 10 days each, and I look forward to try some everyweek, but meanwhile im smoking the class C popcorn.
