Great White Shark is a true heavyweight indica strain. The winner of multiple Cannabis Cups, GWS is the potent cross between two legendary strains White Widow and Skunk #1. The strains hardy nature and fast finishing times make it an excellent choice for novice growers. Yields are good, between 450-550g/m2 indoors with a flowering time of just 7-8 weeks. Nugs are thick and heavy and glisten with THC later in flowering. Outdoors the strain will be ready late September, early October. The indica dominance of Great White Shark offers excellent medicinal qualities, particularly for appetite stimulation and pain suppression. The stone is a great all-round buzz, providing a good balance between head and body high. A true classic of a strain.

Smokes suuuper smooth even before curing. Taste reminds me of White Widow (parent of this strain). Tons of crystals make these buds look great. Smells amazing - I almost get a hint of vanilla. Great for forgetting about pain and relaxing at night - feels more indica than sativa but not too much couch-lock. I'm sure it'll get more potent after curing... it's already super smooth .

For the smoke sesh I packed up a 1.25 cone with bud that has been dried for 3 weeks and cured for 3 weeks. First thing I noticed was the flavor. It is a very smooth smoke to inhale and on exhale the palate is teased with a subtle hint of orange. Other flavors noticed are like a fresh damp forest taste. After 20-30 tokes (about 35% of the cone) I had to take a break and wait for the effects to kick in. A nice cerebral buzz sets in after 10 minutes or so. A sense of calm and peace begins to enter the body as you feel your pain float away. I'm not really tired but not motivated to do anything either. I also have a smile on my face with a nice warm glowing feeling in my face. The extra week of flushing definitely paid off. MSNL recommends this strain at 8-10 weeks of bloom. I let this run go for 10 weeks. The first run had more sativa effects and this one is more indica. I prefer to smoke in the evening and being older this sort of strain helps me feel better. I regret not cloning it again. It likes nutes, has great node spacing and is very easy to grow. The only problems I've had with this was cloning which more than likely was my fault.

I decided to take this for a ride today after 2 weeks of drying and 2 weeks of curing. It has a real nice, pungent aroma combining skunk with rotten fruit. I have hints of orange on one of the phenos. Effects are uplifting and it should make an excellent daytime strain. Maybe another week on the harvest for a heady buzz. I imagine it will get better with a few more weeks of curing. I highly recommend this strain. It tastes great and was fairly easy to grow. I'll be interested to see how these turn out on the clone run.
